韭菜糕的故事
I remembered i hate the taste of 韭菜 when i was much younger. But when i get older, i have learnt to appreciate this traditional teochew kueh better. To me, it has a nostalgic feel attached to it. Esp when it is handmade by my very capable 大婶 back in JB. I will only get to eat her kueh when we went back to my dad's home town for tomb sweeping. This year, it is a pity that i didn't able to make it for the annual affair as i was sicked. But my auntie will always remembered my favourite Kueh for all these years. Some things will never change. She even tabao for my dad to bring back for me to eat. Hopefully, I can learn how to master this so that the traditional can pass on....to the next generation as well. :)
