Craving for Prata

It's the first time i have explored and ate nearby my neighbourhood coffeeshop ever since i have moved in 3 years ago. Most of the time, we would tabao faithfully from the opposite coffeeshop.

I have a craving for prata and our doggie friends recommended us to this Prata Planet where i could find all the different variations of pratas. I cannot remember when is the last time i feast on Prata but definitely the Prata at Prata Planet is very crisy. Thumbs up !! Next time, i will try their Longan Spin (just wondering what is that)

Post Birthday Celebration - Part III

We have a belated birthday and combined be-early birthday celebration for myself and Ah leong together with my beloved soccer buddies at Fish Tales, Clarke Quay. I picked this place because of my special dietary. The price is a bit too steep and the service is not that fantastic. However, the ambience and company make up for the loss. Thanks again to my soccer buddies for the pressie and the wonderful dinner treat.

Penang, here i come again !

It has been a long while since i last visited Penang. It has always been work and it is without exception for this trip. I always like to visit Penang - it has a lot of good food and shopping. This biz trip, i was there for three days. So i really didn't have time to shop. Alto, no time to shop, there is something that i must do - EAT !! My penang colleague is very nice - she brought me to the hawker near Gurney Mall to try the different hawker store. This is the true trade mark of Penang, to sample the different hawker store, just like singapore. And on thurs, i visited a new shopping mall - Queensbay Shopping Mall. The shopping concert is akin to our VIVOCITY with a lot of restaurants and shops. Guess what i try...my favourite Sakae Sushi, just what Tracy has recommended me. Hope next time, i can have more time in Penang. I am sure i will come back again

The Godiva Dream !!!

I cannot believe that i actually received a box of GODIVA chocolate as a birthday gift from my beloved friends - Kevin and Alyssa. Alto, i am not a die hard fan for chocolates, i must admit i m also someone who cannot resist the temptation of chocolates, let alone such a high class chocolate. Anyway, it's not about the gift that matter, it is the thought behind the gift that touches me the most. It is indeed very thoughtful of Kevin. He read my blog and know that i have a to-do list - the Godiva Dream. It is indeed a blessing to have such warm friends around.

Post Birthday Celebration - Part II

Today, my lunch mates in office celebrated my birthday at lunch. We went out to Seletar CC for luncheon. Nice cosy weather...And obviously my choice of food - FISH and CHIP

Thanks to my friends..it's a blessing that we can survive thro' that many years in the same company for that many years

Post Birthday Celebration - Part I

I know this is un-usual, but i will be having at least three birthday celebrations with my friends after my birthday....starting with my family yesterday....

Because of my special dietary needs - My brother suggested we try out this restaurant - "Hooked" near my place. It is indeed a thoughtful suggestions indeed. Fish is very healthy and wholesome meal for me....if not for my special dietary needs, i wont think of having fish as one of the choice for food. Anyway, good choice :) Thanks brother.

It is always a blessing to get together for such a happy occasion like this.

Lucky Seven !!!

What an eventful way to celebrate my birthday. As i recounted the crazy activities that i did today...YES, seven all together. Mostly accordingly to plan.

1. Pawtobello

Verdict : It was raining in the morn but it did not dampen our spirit to start the day with Pawtobello. It was a cosy family event - Yes, me, koh wee and twinkle. I go slow with my food today. I know that we will have a long way to go today :)

2. Sentosa - KW decided to bring me and twinkle for a walk by the beach. This is where KW will bring twinkle for her regular swin

3. Pine Garden - Nothing will be complete without a birthday cake. And yes, i picked my favourite Lychee Martini & KW favourite Black Forest

4. Sun with Moon
Verdict: I think it is a good choice to do high tea at Sun with Moon instead of the original plan cos' it is less crowded durig this time and also just nice before dinner.

& We share a Unagi Tamagotoji & Maguro Yamakake. Yes, we simply cannot resist.

5. Equinox Restuarant
Verdict: Thumbs up for the romantic ambience. The food is excellant, price is reasonable as well. Indeed, an ideal place for proposal. Definitely value of money. I am so glad that i finally fulfilled my teenage dream.

6. Remember about my 7 friends. Yes, of course, that is the first thing i do this morn when i wake up. Start sending sms...

7. Charity Drive - Yes i have been wanting to do something good on my birthday. I am so blessed and i want to share this happy moment with the less fortunate as well.

Seven remarkable events on this lucky day for me...

1. Twinkle is exceptional well behaved today. we saw 3 miniature schnauzers at the cafe. But my beloved twinkle didn't bark at them at all. So proud of her.

2. I got a surprise email from Cass from USA. It was a e-card birthday greetings with some of the photos. Very touched :) Besides her, i rec'd lotsa well wishes from all my beloved friends. My phone was flooded with well wishes. And i still got birthday pressies despite this age. (Thanks to Brother YC, Tracy and khim) . So much that i really count my blessings. :)

3. I actually can't believe that i ate raw tuna. I hate raw stuff. But since it is part of the menu at sun with moon. I try it !! Actually, it taste good. Not as bad as i thought

4. My dear sista - Tracy. She call me from HK. Even during her vacation. I am speechless. It is a very kind gesture of her to do that. Thanks :)

5. Guess what, i actually met my beloved lunch mate - Jennifer on the street. :)

6. I got to see fireworks at Equinox Restuarant. God's greatest gift. I was sharing with khim the other day - wishing for impossible - Fireworks on my birthday. But GOD made it possible cos' it happened to be NDP rehearsel and they have fire works, so coincident during the dinning time.

So a tips for those who love fireworks as me. U can consider going to Equinox on National Day and make sure u ask for a window seat and be seated by 8pm :)

7. YES !! God is always good. He made it possible by his Grace and Providence. And not forgotting my beloved husband whom make it possible by paying for all the bills and being my Chaffeuer of the day.

I am so blessed indeed.

The 7's on 07.07.07

This day has created quite a stir because of the uniqueness of the date. From what i know, a lot of people are getting hitched on that day. And also, it is the annual earth day. YES, save the earth !!!!

But of course, this day is special to me, because it is my birthday..
My parents have given me such a good birth date. My boyfriend, the now then husband has no problem remembering it at all.
Since this year is so special, i have decided to plan for an "elaborated" birthday celebration. I termed it the "7's" on 07.07.07 - for me, my beloved husband and my twinkee :)

With God's blessing -

1. The first stop begins with Pawtobello. Recommended by Joseph Yeo, my dearest friend. It's a dog cafe which i m certainly looking forward to hang out with. I am worried that my twinkle might go crazy with the food. She is a greedy piggy.

2. Second Stop - Humble House. One of the to-do things that i have blogged last year. Hopefully i can get to see my idol - Sam Leong. Luckily i made reservation much earlier. Apparently, the place is fully booked for Solemination

3. Third Stop - Equinox Restaurant. Everyone awed when i told them i am going to Equinox Restuarant. YES, i am FINALLY going....it is a dream come true for me. Will be good if there are fireworks yeah !!!

4. Sweet, Sweet Indulgence - Sun with Moon. Because of my soccer buddy - Adrian. I am now hooked with this restaurant - I think they have very very lovely japanese dessert. My favourite. :)

5. FINALLY - Bar opiume. I especially requested to end this lovely nite with my favourite Jazz bar. Highly recommended by my colleague at work. He say i m certainly going to like the place.

7. To remember my friends who will also celebrate their birthday and wedding Anniversary together with me on this day. Together, we make up the 7 wonders. hahaha....

- Jeffrey, my JC mate. It's his birthday tomorrow as well.
- Lay boon, my ex agilent colleague. If i remember her name correctly. She is also born on the same year, same month and same day with me as well
- Wee Yen, my ex agilent team mate - Yes, also, same year, same month and same day
- Phyllis Leow, my best friend in Univerity. It is really a coincident that our birthday is the same. I miss her so much
- Ying Ying, my university mate. She is tying the knot tomorrow in KL. Wishing her all the best and happiness on this day and forever
- Daniel & Karen, KW's university mate as well as a good personal friend of ours. Celebrating their wedding anniversity.

And of course, after tomorrow, I know that a lot of people will celebrate this day together with me in the coming years, by virtue of this special date. Indeed, i cant wait to count down to tomorrow :)

An expensive Indulgence !

I have always been wanting to try "THE EXPENSIVE" drink (by my standard) for quite sometime, everything i walk past the shop, i know i have to give it a miss, not because i cannot afford it, but i m just worried that i will be addicted to it. Anyway, i finally TRY it cos' i was very thirsty after a shopping spree and i couldn't find any drink store within the vincinity. So, that is a valid and good excuse :) Anyway, i know that i wont be addicted to it even though i wanted to cos' of a strict diet that i m following. No chocolate is allowed in my diet !!!

Anyway, i really think it is WORTH the price as i finally know what we are paying for - it's the little bits size of chocolate u will find in the drink. And definitely addictive for chocoholic.
