It was the only weekday that i woke up with much anticipation, instead of heading towards the office in the north west line - i head towards the opposite direction to town.
YES !!!! today is my off day from work - i have the luxury to experience a day in my life as a Tai Tai - I have signed up to attend a culinary class at the Raffles Culinary Academy with my cooking buddy - Cass :)
Sounds so high class right. I even got a certificate for attending the class (SMILE). M sure my folks will be so proud of me
Anyway, i have learnt three "easy home cooking" dishes during the session - Linguine Pasta roller with seafood mix baby salad, xeres dressing, oven baked chilean seabass with cereal crusted, broccoli puree and pan seared beef & mushroom skewer crispy potatoe chip with passion fruit emulsion. To me, they are simply too high class to be easy home cooking. I would say....FINE DINNING man !!!
Besides learning how to cook such fine dinning dishes, i also have learn a lot of new terms - like sautee, etc, etc..and start to learn how to cook using a pair of TONGS. yes, no joke. :)
My first attempt will definitely be the oven baked seabass. Two words to describe - Tasty and Healty. I am sure i will remember the taste of seabass by heart. Cass wanted to try the seafood pasta. It will definitely be fun when we get together to exchange tips again :) I promise to treat my folks for my first attempt. This really get me exciting. Can't wait to start my cooking expedition
Well, it is indeed a blessing to be able to hv e luxury to attend such fine dinning cooking class, esp with my cooking buddy - I really thanks GOD for that :) And not forgetting the great company i have today with my cooking buddy - Cass. It really makes a whole lot of difference. :)
