我和嫦儿的约会 - Mid Autumn Festival

Mid Autumn Festival always give me a very romantic feel. Esp under the twilight, i think it is a good reason for a get together with family. 所谓月圆人团圆. Every year, i tried to be home with my parents cos' it is always a date for me and my nephews to play with the sparkling sticks and candles. It has always been a childhood tradition for me - i used to play laterns with my cousins, but now with my nephews..:) During this festive, i do certainly miss the traditional laterns that i used to show off proudly to my neighbours when i was much younger. But these days, i hardly see those. And i am especially irrirated by the loud and fake battery operated laterns, but of course, Safety come first :) I am not a die hard moon cakes fan - i always give the mooncakes a miss. But this year, i have some Credit Card rewards point, and i decided to redeem an Ice Cream mooncakes by Gelare - a lot of people raved about such novelty mooncakes, so this year, i decided to try something different. There is always so much to do and look forward on this festive mood.

It's Moon cake, but it is moon cakes for the dog

I happen to browse thru the newspaper yesterday and saw that there is a Doggie Party organised by the US doggie bakery in celebration of the opening of their new branch at Bukit Timah. So, it kinda aroused my curosity and spontaneously, we gather all our doggie friends and went down to the party. It is our first time attending such a dog party. There were a lot of food served - Not just only for the owners but for the doggies as well. I can see that all the dogs enjoy themselves. Esp for twinkle since she likes to eat....It is like a buffet dinner for her :)

I saw this moon cake for the dog. Very innovative indeed. It is make of red beans and there is no preservatives and no lard etc. Definitely healthy for the dog...做狗也疯狂....how lucky the dogs are....thanks to US doggie bakery. :)
